A Taste of Heaven & Hell

In October 2006, at the Cafe Royal in Edinburgh, The Luvvies held their very first performance, titled "A Taste of Heaven & Hell".

The show was sold out.

The show consisted of four vignettes, each representing one or more aspects of the lives of LGBT people and its community. The vignettes were interspersed with a unique blend of cabaret  style musical numbers.

The four vignettes were:

  • Entertaining Mr Sloane, which had as core themes homosexuality and  bisexuality.
  • More Tales of the City, which had as core theme transgender.
  • The Killing of Sister George, it's core theme was Lesbian.
  • And finally, The Queer Rights of May, which was a Luvvies adaptation of A Midsummer's Night Dream, and had, well, a bit of everything!

Heaven & Hell
Who knows, maybe one day there will be "A Taste of Heaven & Hell 2"
